Affiliate Disclosure
How Self-Reliant Backyard earns money, which links are affiliate links, and what that means for you.
Self-Reliant Backyard participates in affiliate programs. If you click a link to The Self-Sufficient Backyard and buy it, this site may earn a commission. The price you pay is the same either way.
Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links appear on the review page and in the homepage call-to-action. They are marked rel="sponsored" and open in a new tab. Guides on this site do not contain affiliate links — they link to the review instead, so you can read the full assessment before deciding.
What the commission does not buy
- It does not buy a positive review. The review lists real limitations: no dimensioned plans, limited climate specificity, and weaker value for experienced homesteaders.
- It does not change the price. The vendor sets the price; the commission comes out of their margin.
- It does not give us access to your order. We cannot see your purchase, and we cannot process refunds — those go through the vendor.
Why the site uses affiliate links
Hosting and writing cost money. Affiliate commissions are the only revenue on this site; there are no display ads, sponsored posts, or paid placements.
FTC statement
In accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials, this disclosure is placed where you will see it before clicking: in the site footer, on the review page, and here. The site earns a commission from qualifying purchases made through its affiliate links, at no additional cost to the reader.
