Privacy Policy
What data this site collects, how analytics and affiliate links work, and how to contact us about privacy.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
What is collected
This is a static website. There is no account system, no comment section, and no form that stores personal data. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
Analytics
The site is prepared for Google Analytics 4. When enabled, GA4 collects standard usage data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and referral source. IP anonymisation is enabled where the platform supports it. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.
You can block analytics with a browser extension or by disabling JavaScript. The site works fully without JavaScript.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies when enabled. Affiliate links may set cookies on the vendor's domain after you click through — those are controlled by the vendor, not by this site.
Affiliate links
Outbound links to The Self-Sufficient Backyard include an affiliate identifier. The vendor may record that the visit came from this site. See the affiliate disclosure.
Third parties
- Google Analytics (usage measurement), if enabled.
- The vendor's checkout platform, once you leave this site.
- Our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share email correspondence with third parties except where required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Since this site holds almost none, the practical route is to email us and ask. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it.
